During the recent Basic Skywarn training, it was mentioned that if Basic level Spotters watch the video link below, and notify the National Weather Service in State College, their Spotter status will be upgraded accordingly. To notify the NWS, email them at ctp.stormreports@noaa.gov and carbon copy Meteorologist john.banghoff@noaa.gov. There are currently no dates posted for an online Advanced Spotter Training.
